God watches over us
Here is an amazing story that showed me that God was watching over me, whether I was aware or not.
On a Sunday afternoon, Oct 18, 2009 I was behind a car wash organizing my vehicle and about ready to leave, when I noted my car had locked itself.
Here I was wondering what was I going to do. My keys and cell phone were inside the vehicle.
I pondered about going across the street as a saw an auto parts store to see if I could call a service that unlocks locked car.
It was Sunday so I kind of doubted if anyone was working that day.
Then I see a guy park his car in front of me. I decide to ask him if he could allow me to use his cell phone. He called 411 for information but after about 10 minutes trying we have no luck.
I was of kind of disappointed and asked him what I should do. He tells me to go to a gas service station down the road and see what they can do for me.
So I walk about 5-10 minutes in this chilly day to this gas station, kind of upset at myself and him for not helping me further.
I am waiting in line when I see a guy with two slices of pizza eating behind me. So I motion him to go ahead so he can pay for his pizza. I told him I needed a yellow book so I could call a service that unlocks my vehicle.
Then he tells me that he would be able to help me with this.
It happened that at that same time he had stopped with his towing truck to get something to eat.
I know this may look like a coincidence. But what are the chances?
God was watching over me even if I was not aware of. I praise Him for that.
So he allows me to ride with him back to my vehicle and he goes ahead and unlocks my car. I was so grateful. Sometimes God uses normal people like him for His glory. I thank God for his mercies that abounds forever.
Praise God.

Two greatest commandments.
Matthew 22: 36-40
Two commandments
36 : Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38: This is the first and great commandment.
39: And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40: On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

God is my Strength!
"Someone reminded me of another post I had made quite awhile ago regarding heavenly protection. This time I truly believe it was the Holy Spirit guiding me. You'll see why.
It was a weeknight and my wife and I had been looking for a new sofa for weeks. She had been to Penney's and saw a fantastic couch that she wanted me to see. Because our schedules were in conflict I told her I'd stop by the store after work and then come home. Later that day she called and said to forget about looking at the sofa, we could do it another time. I told her no, it needs to get done so I'll do it and then be home. I was tired of looking and had wanted to get this over with. It may have been the sixth store we'd looked at, but she was sold on it, so I had to go look at it.
The mall I was going to was Rosedale SC just north of Minneapolis. It was not my regular route and I didn't like driving on 35W, especially the bridge. It was rickety and felt like it moved and swayed when I'd drive across it. As I got into my car I dreaded the nasty commute up 35W. I had many co-workers who took that route daily, and I knew it was terrible. Just as I was about to veer onto 35W north I changed my mind. I decided to go look at some electronics on the other side of the cities, closer to my home. I wasn't sure why but as hard pressed as I was to see this sofa I figured I'd blow it off and go look at some TVs. So not like me at all! I'm not an electronics geek and when I have my mind set to do something, it doesn't change too easily.
As I arrived at the electronics store I was listening to the radio and heard that the 35W bridge had collapsed! I ran inside the store to see the footage on the TVs. That was the route I was going to take to see the sofa! There is a very good possibility I could've been on that bridge when it collapsed. By God's grace I believe He redirected my path to protect me from that horrible accident. We'll really never know, but I'd rather not know, versus being there, or close to the mayhem.
Thanks FuzzyM for reminding me about this. I can sit here today and praise God for his protection!"

Luke 12: 29-34
29: And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30: For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31: But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
32: Fear not, little flock; for it it your Father's good pleasure to give the kingdom.
33: Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteh.
34: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
